How to Prepare For Getting Pregnant?

Thinking about getting pregnant can be stressing and frustrating for some couples. Especially for those who have been trying for years but with no result. Not getting pregnant as you expected may not make you stressful, because such feeling will increase the production of hormone in your body that may prevent your from getting pregnant. If you are looking forward to getting pregnant but you aren't lucky enough, you just need to think how to prepare for getting pregnant.


When you are thinking about getting pregnant you should first prepare yourself how to get pregnant properly. One thing you should do is to make changes to your negative lifestyles. Doing this will make your body ready to bear pregnancy and you will have healthy fetus. The problem is that not all couples have willingness to make changes. This willingness to make changes are not only required for women but also for men.

Follow the instructions below at time you are thinking about getting pregnant.

1. Change your lifestyle by avoiding illegal drugs, alcohol, and smoking. Avoid being passive smoker and keep away from smokers because second hand smoke is very dangerous to your health.

2. Change your diet by choosing a balanced diet that includes several servings of vegetables and fruits. Avoid caffeine and alcohol that may affect your unborn baby or cause miscarriage.

3. Get an ideal weight and do regular exercise for better life and health. If you're overweight just take steps to reduce your weight. If you are underweight, take steps to get ideal weight. Take healthy weight range for healthy body. Make a regular exercise even something simple such as walking for a few minutes.

4. Start to take folic acid because it is important supplement that helps you prevent a birth defect called spina bifida. This substance needs to be taken even before your pregnancy.

5. Make these changes together. Women and men are required the same changes. Healthy lifestyle will increase men’s sperm count and keep their sperm healthier. Men should also avoid bathing in hot showers or hot tubs that may cause damages to their sperm and birth defects.
